First F-15 Arrivals at Luke AFB, November 16, 1974: The first pair of McDonnell-Douglas TF-15A Eagles arrived at Luke Air Force Base on November 16, 1974. A TWA Boeing 707 was chartered to bring VIPs to the arrival ceremonies. Air Force one brought President Gerald Ford to the event. I ditched class with a borrowed super-eight movie camera to record the event.
